The students of Symbiosis School of Sports Sciences (SSSS) have consistently proved their mettle in the sports industry by strengthening the brand of the college in the sports world. Summer internships are the most popular form of internships, as more students have time to participate in them over the summer break. These internships provide students with a look into the real-world.
An internship provides a hands-on learning experience for students. It gives students a perfect opportunity to make up their mind towards their career choices and hinders them accordingly. It also works as a great resume builder, after college, the number one question asked at job interviews; where did you intern? Students must have a specific answer for that question if they want to stand out from the other applicants.
Summer internships provide a whole new networking opportunity. If you ask college students about their professional network, it doesn’t exist. A summer internship will always stand out on a student’s resume and is the best thing a young person can do to prepare for the real-world.
The 2021-23 batch of MBA Sports Management at Symbiosis School of Sports Sciences, witnessed a surge in the number of companies coming onto campus for internship opportunities. The Placement Committee contacted over 50 companies and we achieved a 100% success in securing internships for the students.
All the 56 students secured an internship with companies from the Sports Industry. The internship opportunities have been an enriching experience for the students, having been exposed to different verticals of the Industry. As compared to the previous year, this year has seen an increase in the number of verticals where our students have worked in. This has helped them understand the nuances of the industry.
Most students came back from their internships with positive responses having had brilliant experiences and looking forward to continue working in this industry.
